Benefit at Okauchee tavern to honor slain officer Jenny Luick of the Oconomowoc Police Department, Wisconsin

A benefit in honor of a Town of Oconomowoc police officer who was fatally shot outside a Jefferson tavern early Sunday will be held next week at a tavern in Okauchee.

Jennifer K. Luick, 37, and her companion, Gregg T. Peters, 40, were shot and killed during a quarrel with Andrew J. Wirth, according to a criminal complaint charging Wirth, 24, with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide.

Luick was off duty at the time of the incident. She is survived by an 11-year-old son.

The benefit will be held from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 16 at Victoria’s Pub & Grill, N51-W34911 Wisconsin Ave., Okauchee, in Waukesha County. The benefit will include free food, raffles and a silent auction.

For more information on the benefit, call (262) 567-3500. Donations to help support Luick’s son also can be made at any Associated Bank.
